A Trauma-Informed 200 Hour Training

Next Group Begins March 29th, 2026

  • A Soothing Space for Survivors

We speak with empowering, inclusive language in discussions and when offering cues during class. Students will receive a high amount of personalized attention, adequate breaks, and a welcome invitation to shift their camera away from their face or leave the room as needed, especially if they are feeling overstimulated. Taking the moments you need to self-regulate is the only way to get back to a place where you can absorb information.

  • Yoga For Every Body

We believe that health looks different for everyone, and is possible at any size or ability level. Regardless of your health, we view each and every body as an equally worthy being in this space. We offer discussion around what language to use for various body sizes, shapes, abilities, and needs to ensure all students can feel welcomed and confident in any class.

  • The Yamas & Social Justice

Two of the tenants of yoga are Ahimsa (compassion) & Satya (truthfulness). If we consider ourselves practitioners of yoga, it is imperative that we consider our relationship to our community and the rest of the world. To embody the deepest compassion and stand for truth is to remain active in the movement to provide basic necessities to all people, including the practices of yoga.

  • Honoring Yoga's Roots

Asana (yoga movement and posturing) is simply one of the many tools yoga offers. These classes seek to direct us back to the ancient ways of teaching; including the psychology & philosophy of yoga as a lifestyle by studying and/or chanting the Yoga Sūtras and the Bhavagad Gita throughout the course. If you are feeling unsure about pronouncing Sanskrit, please know that you will always be given an explanation of the meaning and pronunciation of anything we might choose to repeat together.
